Sentinel Flavor Tabs are a 5-in-1 monthly parasite protection treatment for dogs. They provide reliable protection against heartworm disease, control flea populations, and treat and control common intestinal worms. Given like a treat orally, the once-a-month flavored chewable makes administration easy and stress-free.

How does Sentinel Flavor Tablets work?

Sentinel is formulated with two active ingredients: lufenuron and milbemycin oxime.
Lufenuron is an insect growth regulator that breaks the flea life cycle by inhibiting egg development. When a female flea bites a treated dog, she ingests a blood meal containing lufenuron, which is deposited in her eggs, preventing them from hatching or maturing into adults.
Milbemycin oxime is a macrocyclic anthelmintic that interferes with the neurotransmission of worms. It eliminates heartworm larvae, roundworms, hookworms, and whipworms when administered as directed.

Important notes:

Sentinel for Dogs has no direct effect on adult fleas and controls flea populations by breaking the flea life cycle at the egg stage. A separate treatment may be needed if adult fleas are present.
Dogs should be tested for heartworm prior to use, as Sentinel is not effective against adult heartworms.

How To Use

Administer Sentinel once monthly, on the same day each month, as directed by your veterinarian.
Weigh your dog before starting the treatment to ensure the correct dosage.
Give one tablet orally immediately after or in conjunction with a normal meal.
If you mix it in the dog food, ensure that the dog completes the entire meal to receive the full dose.
Treatment with Sentinel may begin at any time of the year.In areas with year-round infestations, treatment should continue the entire year without interruption.
If a dose is missed and a 30-day interval between dosing is exceeded, administer Sentinel immediately and resume the monthly dosing schedule.
Treat all dogs in the household for fleas for effective control.
