How does Selehold for Cats work?

Selehold Spot-On for Cats contains selamectin, a broad-spectrum antiparasitic ingredient that is absorbed through the skin into the bloodstream after application. Selamectin is a semi-synthetic compound of the avermectin class that works by interfering with neurotransmission, causing paralysis and death of the parasites.

Important notes:

Cats should be tested for existing heartworm infections before beginning treatment with Selehold.
Keep treated cats away from fire or other sources of ignition for at least 30 minutes or until the hair coat is dry.

How to Use

Weigh your cat before treatment and select the appropriate pack size accordingly.
Hold the pipette upright and remove the cap.
Part the hair at the base of the neck until the skin is visible.
Place the tip of the pipette directly on the skin and squeeze firmly to empty the contents in one spot.
Do not massage the product into the skin.
Allow the treated area to dry naturally after application.
Apply once monthly for uninterrupted parasite protection.

Safety

Our cats adjust to the treatment quicker. There’s not so much liquid that it wets their neck and fur and runs down the side like the over the counter flea treatments. Also good that it treats more than fleas.

Selamectin is the only treatment that has gotten rid of the ear mites my poor cats have suffered from. Much easier to use than the ear drop medications.
