How does NexGard Combo work?

NexGard Combo contains a combination of three powerful ingredients: esafoxolaner, praziquantel, and eprinomectin. Esafoxolaner targets external parasites like fleas and ticks by interfering with their nervous system, whereas eprinomectin is a macrocyclic lactone that targets internal parasites like worms. Praziquantel helps eliminate tapeworm infestations in cats.

These ingredients are absorbed through the skin and distributed systemically, allowing the product to effectively control parasites both on the skin and within the body.

How fast does NexGard Combo work?

NexGard Combo has shown to begin killing fleas within 24 hours of application and provides monthly protection against parasites when used as directed.

Important notes:

The safe use of NexGard Combo in breeding, pregnant, or lactating cats has not been fully evaluated.
Contains esafoxolaner, a member of the isoxazoline class. This class has been associated with neurological adverse reactions, including tremors, ataxia, and seizures. Use with caution in cats with a history of seizures or neurologic disorders.

How to Use

Check your cat’s weight before commencing treatment to ensure dosage accuracy.
Administer one dose topically, preferably on the same date.
To administer, remove one applicator from the package.
Part the hair at the base of the cat’s neck until the skin is visible.
Place the tip directly on the skin and apply the entire contents in one spot.
Do not massage into the skin.
Allow the area to dry before allowing contact with other pets or people.
If unsure about dosing, consult your veterinarian.
