Effipro Duo Spot-on for Cats is a dual-action flea and tick treatment designed for cats. The fast-acting and easy-to-apply topical solution not only kills adult fleas but also prevents flea eggs from maturing, helping control infestations.
One treatment of Effipro Duo Spot-on prevents further flea infestations for 5 weeks and prevents the multiplication of fleas, preventing flea eggs from developing into adult fleas for 12 weeks after applications. The topical solution provides continuous acaricidal efficacy against certain ticks for one week.
Furthermore, it kills fleas and ticks without the need for a bloodmeal. It also helps offer relief from itching and irritation, helping you protect your cat from discomfort and serious health issues caused by these parasites.

How does Effipro Spot-on work?
Effipro Duo Cat Spot-on contains fipronil and pyriproxyfen as the key ingredients. The combination of fipronil and pyriproxyfen provides insecticidal and acaricidal activity against fleas and ticks in addition to preventing flea eggs developing into adult fleas.
Fipronil is an insecticide and acaricide that eliminates fleas and ticks by causing uncontrolled activity of their central nervous system. Pyriproxyfen is an insect growth regulator (IGR) whose ovicidal effects block the development of flea eggs, larvae, and pupae, which are subsequently eliminated.
Important notes:
- The product should not be used in sick or convalescing pets or kittens under specified age and weight guidelines.
- The product does not prevent ticks from attaching to the cat. If the cat is treated prior to exposure to ticks, the ticks will be killed within 48 hours after attachment.
- The safety of Effipro Duo has not been established in pregnant and lactating queens.
- This product is not for simultaneous use with other flea or tick products.
