How fast does the Seresto Collar work?

Seresto kills existing fleas within 24 hours of application and kills new re-infesting fleas within 2 hours after the collar has been worn for 24 hours. It kills or repels any new ticks in as quickly as 6 hours after the collar has been worn for 48 hours. Furthermore, it kills and repels fleas before they can lay eggs and helps prevent flea infestations.

How does the Seresto Collar work?

Seresto Collar features flumethrin and imidacloprid as the active ingredients. The patented polymer matrix technology ensures that both active ingredients are slowly and continuously released to repel and kill target parasites.

Important notes:

Consult a vet before using Seresto on debilitated, aged, breeding, pregnant, or nursing animals.

How To Use

Remove the Seresto Collar from the protective bag and unroll it.
Ensure that there are no remains from the plastic connector inside the collar.
Fasten the collar around your dog’s neck by inserting its ends through the buckle.
Adjust the collar so it is neither too tight nor too loose around your dog’s neck.
Make sure there is a gap of two fingers between the collar and the dog’s neck.
Pull the excess collar through the loop and cut any excess length that extends beyond 2 cm.
Check the collar regularly and adjust if required, especially in growing puppies.
For optimum results, do not bathe your dog more than once per month and do not remove the collar while bathing.
Replace after every 8 months for continuous protection.
This collar is designed with a release mechanism. In the unlikely event of a dog being trapped, the dog’s own strength is usually sufficient to widen the collar to allow for quick release.

Was totally freeked out by product warnings but never in the least bit had any adverse affect to myself or my three very different breeds, ages, and weight dogs. There may be some special breeds which are adversely effected but not my 5 year old lab mix, my 3 yr old beagle-hound little dog or my baby husky-malamute mix.
