How does Nuheart Green work?

Nuheart Green for Dogs (26-50 lbs) contains ivermectin, a broad-spectrum antiparasitic agent that works by interfering with the nerve transmission of heartworm larvae. After administration, ivermectin eliminates immature larval stages present in the dog’s system, preventing them from developing into adult heartworms that can cause serious damage to the heart and lungs. When given regularly every month, it provides continuous protection by stopping the lifecycle of heartworms before they can mature.

Important note:

Nuheart targets only heartworm larvae and prevents them from maturing into adult worms. It does not kill adult heartworms.
Dogs should be tested for existing heartworm infection before starting treatment. If heartworm infections are present at the time of administration of the tablet, adverse reactions may occur.
Use with caution in breeds sensitive to ivermectin (e.g., Collies and Border Collies).
