Question from Rene Chassaigne

Petro & Groovy Doo

Boxer, age 6 & 3

Took my dogs to the vet today to get them ready to go to Hawaii in December. My Vet reccomended I get their heart worm test and switch them to Revolution. I know this website doesnt offer Revolution, but what is your professional opinion on flea and tick medication. In the picture I am enclosing with this question, Groovy-Doo is my fawn colored boxer and Petro is my white colored boxer.
Our Vet Says:

You should follow your vets advice. Heartworm treatments should be started at least a month before your trip in the heartworm region and you need to take into consideration the fact that the test takes some time as well.
Revolution is quite a good product and it covers a wide range of conditions: fleas (adult and immature stages), ear mites, biting lice, roundworms and hook worms, sarcoptic mange and prevention of Dirofilaria immitis.
You need to make sure it is applied correctly and sufficient quantity of solution reaches the skin.

My dog has an itching problem. I use medicated shampoo with no results. I think she has dry skin and no lesions. I can use 1% hydrocortisone spray for temporary relief. I give her fish oil caps occasionally. Any suggestions?...??
