Question from Phillip S. Henderson

How often can Frontline Plus be used?

Our Vet Says:

Frontline Plus is a spot on product for the prevention of fleas. The time between administration is 4 weeks. In extreme cases which involve a big flea infestation it can be applied as often as 3 weeks apart but this is to be discussed with a veterinarian as other measures have to be taken.

Please make sure you are following the manufacturers indication when applying the product. Read the leaflet enclosed. There are situations when the effectiveness of the product is reduced, like washing your dog with an emollient shampoo before the treatment or in the first two days after the treatment. There is some more information on the leaflet but I will leave you to find it.

Question of the Month

Congratulations to the winner of this month's Question of the Month, cheryl d. who wins $100 for the following question:

My Maddy is 6 years old and a HUGE girl -170 lbs. and the sweetest girl in my world! Trouble is... She is miserable with the itching. I been to the vet and tried changing her food to no beef, chicken, or pork. I also had her on allergy pills that cost $140 a month. I simply can’t afford that plus the expensive dog food, plus continuous yard treatments, etc. can you recommend a flea pill that is affordable? She is also on prion for incontinence. Will it affect that medication too? Thank ...?
