Question from Robin Camp

Cocker Spaniel, age 7 years

Our dog, Mollie, has this growth on her rear end. What is this and should we be concerned. She was at the groomer which is in our vet’s office just last Monday. I did not realize how big it was until I got. I would have thought if it was something we needed to be concerned with someone would have mentioned it. What do you think?
Our Vet Says:

I might suggest clinical examine from your veterinarian and he/she will conclude about the growth and will guide you on what it might be and a possible treatment, if required.

My dog has an itching problem. I use medicated shampoo with no results. I think she has dry skin and no lesions. I can use 1% hydrocortisone spray for temporary relief. I give her fish oil caps occasionally. Any suggestions?...??
