Question from Angel F. Cordero
is it ok to apply advantix right after bathing or should we wait?
Our Vet Says:

No, Spot on product should be applied on dry animals, on dry skin and coat. It is recommended that they are applied after 2-3 days from bathing as the skin needs a period to regain its natural balance of oily substances and pH. All the spot on products are carried on the surface of the skin by the skin’s oils.
In cases of frequent water exposure the persistent efficacy may be reduced. In these cases do not retreat more frequently than once weekly. If a dog requires a shampoo bath it should be administered at least 2 weeks after application, to optimise efficacy of the product.

Congratulations to the winner of this month's Question of the Month, billy g. who wins $100 for the following question:

Ask a Vet winner

My dog has an itching problem. I use medicated shampoo with no results. I think she has dry skin and no lesions. I can use 1% hydrocortisone spray for temporary relief. I give her fish oil caps occasionally. Any suggestions?...??
