• First and foremost, get your doggy tested for any prior heartworm infection. If there are no prevailing heartworm larvae in the dog's system, then commence the treatment.
• Weigh the doggy and then select the appropriate pack size.
• You can give the treatment along with the food.
• Give the chew directly to the pet in his mouth.
• If he resists, then mix it in the dog food.
• Never ever give this treatment on an empty stomach.

• If your doggy is allergic to any of the active ingredients present in this treatment do not give this chewable to him.
• This treatment is not recommended for puppies younger than 14 weeks of age.
• Pets and children need to be kept away from the product.
• If your doggy has a prior history of seizures take the prior consent of your veterinarian before commencing the treatment.
• Keep the temperature at a room temperature of 68-77 degrees Celsius.
• Follow the instructions given on the product label, including dosage, administration, expiry date and precaution to the "t".
• Some pets may vomit after taking the treatment within 2 days of administration. This is a transient effect of the treatment which will not cease its effect.
• There are certain hypersensitive pets that could suffer from side effects like lethargy, diarrhea, pruritis, seizures etc.
• If your pet is allergic to pork, then do not administer this chewable since Trifexis contains pork flavor.
• After giving this treatment wash your hands properly with soap and water.
• Never allow human ingestion. If ingested accidentally it can be highly toxic for humans, so seek the help of Poison control center as soon as possible.
• Dispose the empty packs and the leftover tablets as per the recommendation of your veterinarian.

Trifexis is an oral treatment that is effective for 30 full days against fleas, heartworms and other common intestinal parasites. It is effective in controlling flea infestations. In order to prevent heartworm infection, give this treatment on a monthly basis for at least 3 months after exposure to mosquitoes. This treatment is effective when it is given with food. If a dose is missed start resuming it as soon as possible to eradicate the chances of development of adult heartworm infections and flea infestation in dogs.

Spinosad and Milbemycin Oxime are the two active ingredients present in this treatment. Both these ingredients when combined together result in total destruction of fleas, intestinal worms and comprehensive protection against heartworms.
