Telmin Horse Wormer Granules

Telmin wormer contain Mebendazole, one of the benzimidazole wormers.

As usual two packets of granules are equivalent to one tube of paste.

Telmin horse wormer is licensed for use on horses and donkeys as a wormer and treats most benzimidazole sensitive worms including large and small redworms, ascarids, seatworms and lungworms.

It will not treat tapeworms or bots.

Donkeys with lungworm infection need a higher dose over 5 days.

If cover against tapeworm is needed praziquantel (Equitape), Equimax or a ‘double’ dose of Pyrantel (Pyratape P or Strongid P) (ie two tubes of paste or 4 sachets for an average horse) at the beginning and end of the grazing season.

Bots treatment as usual after a hard frost requires ivermectin or moxidectin. Dosage needs to be repeated every 6 weeks. One pack (2 sachets) will treat a 800 kg horse.
