Great news for Bayer flea & tick buyers
The move is a step in the right direction for pet owners, who will enjoy the benefits of being able to shop around for the cheapest prices on Bayer's product range from cheaper, more competitive retailers. In their recent press release, Bayer stated one reason for the change in policy is "to remain competitive in a rapidly changing business environment", and this move will delight buyers who don't want to be restricted in only being able purchase Advantage and K-9 Advantage products through their veterinarian. A multi-million dollar ad campaign will also be run in various magazines to stress the importance of regular visits to veterinary surgeons. Pet owners who buy an Advantage flea & tick product from licenced vets will also be able to claim back $20 in a "May Back In" rebate program, if they return to the same climic for their pet's medical care by the end of 2010.
