Memorial Day – A Hearty Homage to All Unsung Heroic Animals

Every war fought for United States has unsung heroes, who have had led their lives to protect our country. To remember and honor those fallen heroes who fought and died, we observe Memorial Day. A day to salute, honor, and remember our brave heroes, and a day to sing patriotic songs, enjoy parades and visit different war monuments.

To most people, Memorial Day means remembering their loved ones and family members who have served the country and led their lives. However, for some it means to remember and honor hundreds of dogs, who served and gave their lives to protect their handlers along with other U.S soldiers.

So, let us not forget those brave animals that have earnestly worked hard to save the country and worked throughout the years making efforts to protect and serve our nation, whether serving at home or abroad.

Let us take time today in order to remember and honor those service dogs, which have fallen to sniff bombs, IEDS, find and point out enemy soldiers, patrol perimeters and do all that has been asked of them by the U.S. military.

Numerous unsung animal heroes have made the ultimate sacrifice so that we may live our lives safely and securely.
