The temperature is at a constant decrease and it has become extremely chilly outside. This makes it important to take special care of our pets and keep them indoors as much as possible. Felines are termed as wanderers and that their happiness lies in stalking. However this is just a myth!

Your kitties can stay happy and healthy indoors if provided with what they need for their entertainment. To keep them unaffected by the cold winds and boredom with their health and safety intact, you may need to take care of the following things!

  • Fence your compound: Cats are smart and they know their way out. To keep them from snow, cold breeze and getting lost, it is necessary to guard your compounds with good fences.
  • Ample of toys: Kitties love catnip toys that squeak and creak. When given more than one toys to play with, felines may not need any outdoor adventures. Make sure you rotate toys to maintain her excitement level.
  • Cat tree: If you love cats and planning on having at least one all the time, then buying a cat tree would be the best investment. Cats simply love to climb and this tree will satisfy their need of climbing and being adventurous which will ultimately keep them from going wandering.
  • Your contribution in play time: Although felines do not crave for human company, it would be good if you play with your purr queen for a little while every day.   • Walk them: Being all day inside may not be entirely healthy for felines. Hence if you kitty is comfortable on leash, walk her for a few minutes in the neighborhood. This may refresh her and prevent her sneaking out at night.
